We walked and sat, enjoying our time together and God's awesome creations. During our trip around the lake, we were practically carjacked by 4 white geese wanting an afternoon snack, could almost reach out and touch 4 small hungry deer,
This man made lake with it's dam help prevent the flooding of the Guadalupe River when the heavy rains comel
Our next stop was the town of Gruene where we had dinner at the
Gristmill Restaurant, which was one of the best restaurants we have EVER eaten in. Paul had a huge portion of breaded shrimp and I had baby back ribs which were the best EVER for me. And the portions were huge with the sweetest waitress.
What a treat as we listened and watched the rapids of the river.
We ended up at Gruene Hall again to listen to the Cowboy Music in the oldest dance hall in Texas where each night a different guy or group sings from 6 till 10pm. Tonight was so special since a cowboy named Brett Graham was playing guitar, along with a harmonica and just WOWed the house. All were clapping, whistling, laughing, singing, and dancing the Texas 2 step. Yep, Paul and I were on the wooden dance floor learning it as well. What fun.... All Paul needed was a hat and boots for us to fit in perfectly. By the time that we left there must have been 200 people there enjoying a great evening.
